Feeling frustrated with the process, Joseph reached out to our office seeking representation. We helped him prepare for his hearing with an Administrative Law Judge in Tacoma, WA.
Joseph appeared at the disability hearing along with Attorney Keith Kinzebach. During the hearing, Joseph testified that he worked for most of his life as a car mechanic before developing severe plantar fasciitis, ulnar nerve damage in his elbows, tinnitus, and severe headaches. Joseph stated that his conditions caused him nausea, dizziness, and constant pain despite his consistent compliance with treatment and medication. Joseph explained that he eventually quit his job as an auto mechanic due to his worsening conditions.
The Administrative Law Judge also took testimony from a vocational expert, who was present at the hearing to assess Joseph’s past work. The vocational expert explained that the combination of Joseph’s limitations would not allow him to perform his prior job or any other job in the national economy.
In his decision, the Administrative Law Judge felt that testimony of Joseph was consistent with the medical records from Joseph’s providers in Tacoma, Lakewood, and University Place. Joseph’s claim was approved.
